Ryan Wurst is an artist who builds worlds filled with absurdity and emotion. His work takes many forms like animation, music, games, and performance. In addition to his artwork, Wurst is an avid organizer who ran a record label (Always Human Tapes), produced many live events, ran an art gallery (The Midnight Brigade), and currently runs a creative studio (Frolic). Wurst holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Art and Technology from CU Boulder, an MFA in Experimental Art and Technology from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelors in Music Composition from CU Boulder. With a background in engineering and architecture, Patrick Beseda’s everyday life is rife with design and process. Combine that with over 20 years living in & around the outdoors and a passion for adventure, and you’ve got the perfect spark for Featherbuilt, a company that designs and manufacutres components for van conversions. From tiny homes in Utah and Guatemala and yurts in the mountains, to custom kitchen fabrication and custom vans, Patrick has had his brains and hands in just about everything. The Shop: Frolic is housed in an all in one digital fabrication shop which is shared with Featherbuilt. In the shop, there is a Shop Sabre CNC with a 4ft by 8ft bed, a Thunder CO2 laser cutter, table saw, lighting equipment, hand power tools, music production tools, live performance technology, and just about everything to turn an idea into a reality.
